Leah Kate turned four months old on February 28th! She has grown so much in the past four months. She now weighs 15 pounds, 13 ounces and is 25 inches long. Jeremy and I were amazed at how much she has changed when we were watching some videos of her when she was just a few days old.
She has such a personality now! Leah Kate loves to smile and hear her voice. Her new favorite trick is to blow bubbles with her lips! She is getting so much stronger, and she can hold up her head for longer periods of time when on her stomach. She loves to play in her new bouncer, and she reaches for toys and brings them to her mouth. We think she is already teething, so she is drooling ALL the time! She no longer likes her paci, but now chews on her fingers instead :)
This has been a crazy past few weeks! I went back to work this week, so that has been an adjustment. I am SO thankful that my job is flexible, and I am able to work part time! The Lord has worked out all of the details! I am working on Tuesdays and Fridays. My friend/co-worker Lori let me know a few weeks ago that her parents were moving to town! It is such a blessing because her mom is able to come to our house to watch Leah Kate on Tuesdays. We love Mrs. Rhonda already! Jeremy doesn't work on Fridays, so he (and his mom during turkey season!) get to watch her while I work then. I am excited to get back to work, but I definitely miss Leah Kate on those days!
My sweet Granddaddy Moore had open heart surgery this Monday. I am SO SO thankful that his surgery went well and he is recovering as expected. Leah Kate and I went to Andalusia to visit him this past weekend before his surgery. He and my Grandmama love seeing Leah Kate, so we had a great visit! Situations like that teach me how NOT in control I am. I try to be such a planner and perfectionist so that I can make things happen how I think they should be. However, God has been showing me lately that His plan is ultimate even if the outcome is different than what I think it should be. I know that this is a lesson that I will probably never fully grasp.
I hope everyone has a great week!
Marianne
